I believe belonging is a birthright.
Not something you have to earn by shrinking yourself, masking who you are, or performing for a seat at the table. Every person and every community deserves spaces built to hold them exactly as they are.

I spent my life learning to notice the things most don't.
It started with the door I grew up walking through - a religious community I love - one that raised me and shaped me and also, without ever meaning to, kept locking people out.
I'm disabled. I'm queer. I learned early on how to spot the cracks no one else noticed: the policy that excludes, the ramp that isn't quite a ramp, the rule everyone follows without asking who it was actually written for.
I'm not here to tear any of it down. I'm here because these spaces are worth the fight to get right.
So I started asking the questions out loud. Why does this door open for some people and not others? Who decided masking was the price of admission? What if the problem was never the people who don't fit, what if it's the room? For years, those questions lived in a blog. Then people started writing back: this is my story too.
That's when the questions became a method, and the method became Mosaic. Now those same questions get asked inside synagogue boardrooms, clinical trainings, and family kitchen tables, because inside every crack is an opportunity to build.
WHAT I’M HERE TO DO
Show me the cracks. I'll give you a world where no one falls through them.
Imagine a synagogue where no one has to ask if there's room for them. Where the ramp isn't an afterthought bolted on after someone complained, and the accommodation is just how the building was built.
Imagine a clinic where the intake form already knows your client is more than one label.
Imagine a parent who walks into the school knowing exactly what to ask for, exactly how to ask for it, and gets a yes.
Imagine a kid who never learns to perform. Who grows up never knowing there was another version of themselves except who they really are.
That's not a fantasy. That's just what happens when we stop treating belonging as a slogan and start treating it as a structure — something I build with you until it can hold the weight of every person who walks through the door.
Because the rules are broken.
And it's time we do better.
